I find no objection whatever to the use of a portrait of my father upon the letterhead
of such a life insurance company named after him as you describe; I take pleasure in enclosing you, for that purpose,
what I regard as a very good photograph of him.
- Robert Todd Lincoln (1), August 3, 1905

Lincoln Lore Title Index
Lincoln Lore began as a weekly publication from the Lincoln National Life Insurance Company in 1929. Its editor, Louis Austin Warren, intended it as a clip sheet from which newspapers could draw as filler material for their papers. Warren was surprised to learn that many kept this bulletin for reference.
Lincoln Lore eventually became a monthly one-sheet dedicated to a single topic, and then became a multi-page journal published quarterly by the Lincoln Museum and now by The Allen County Public Library and The Friends of the Lincoln Collection of Indiana.
You'll notice that Lincoln Lore periodically published a bibiliography listing recent books about Abraham Lincoln. This work has been continued by Daniel E. Pearson in his Lincoln Lore Cumulative Bibliography Index.
I've compiled this title index because I found it to be particularly helpful to me in my research, so I wanted to share it with you. Please enjoy it for your personal enrichment and feel free to link to it from your Web site. (Oh, and please respect the copyright noted at the bottom of this page!).
